Durant ce Saint Temps de l\u2019Avent nous avons surtout besoin d\u2019esp\u00e9rance. Car notre temps est si triste avec ses malheurs, ses violences, ses injustices, ses guerres avec les mis\u00e8res de toutes sortes qu\u2019ils g\u00e9n\u00e8rent. Le baptis\u00e9-proph\u00e8te se doit donc de devenir par sa vie et son comportement un homme de l\u2019Esp\u00e9rance : \u00ab La p\u00e9nitence semble inutile, dit S.
