Ce n\u2019est pas le Messie glorieux dont les juifs r\u00eavaient en ce temps-l\u00e0, mais un Messie souffrant qui veut des disciples qui lui ressemblent. Pour cela, il pose comme condition \u00e0 ceux qui veulent le suivre, celle de porter leur croix quotidienne.<br>La condition \u00ab porter sa croix \u00bb n\u2019\u00e9tait pas \u00e9trang\u00e8re aux Ap\u00f4tres. Car les occupants Romains crucifiaient \u00e0 tour de bras. Mais pour J\u00e9sus, cette phrase ne voulait pas seulement dire : pers\u00e9v\u00e9rer dans l\u2019\u00e9preuve, supporter avec patience les difficult\u00e9s de la vie. Mais elle voulait dire quelque chose de plus profond. Pour J\u00e9sus, elle voulait dire : vivre sa mission de Sauveur comme lui-m\u00eame l\u2019a v\u00e9cue. Comme toute sa vie \u00e9tait faite de solitude parce qu\u2019il \u00e9tait incompris, comme sa personne \u00e9tait rejet\u00e9e parce qu\u2019il disait toute la V\u00e9rit\u00e9, qu\u2019il \u00e9tait contredit, pers\u00e9cut\u00e9, calomni\u00e9 et trahi ; comme tout le bien (gu\u00e9risons, miracles\u2026) qu\u2019il a fait \u00e9tait mal re\u00e7u et mal interpr\u00e9t\u00e9, comme son enseignement rejet\u00e9, il veut que son disciple soit pr\u00eat \u00e0 accepter de lui ressembler dans cette mission de lib\u00e9ration de l\u2019homme \u00e0 sa suite. Car il en a besoin pour la poursuivre jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa seconde venue dans la gloire. <br>C\u2019est par le bapt\u00eame qu\u2019il nous unit intimement \u00e0 lui et nous confie cette mission. Sommes-nous partants ?
