L\u2019\u00e9chec fait structurellement partie du moi de l\u2019homme, car personne n\u2019arrive \u00e0 unifier parfaitement sa vie. D\u2019ailleurs, nous avons tous fait l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de l\u2019\u00e9chec dans notre vie. L\u2019homme J\u00e9sus de Nazareth n\u2019\u00e9chappe pas \u00e0 cette r\u00e8gle. L\u2019\u00e9chec l\u2019a accompagn\u00e9 depuis sa naissance jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa mort. Encore b\u00e9b\u00e9, il a d\u00fb s\u2019exiler en Egypte. Adulte, il \u00e9choue devant les habitants de Nazareth o\u00f9 il a grandi ; il \u00e9choue quand ses disciples l\u2019abandonnent quand il parle de l\u2019Eucharistie. Mais le grand \u00e9chec fut le Vendredi Saint quand, sur la croix, il expire abandonn\u00e9 de tous ceux \u00e0 qui il a fait du bien. Il n\u2019y avait au pied de la croix que sa m\u00e8re, son ami Jean et une p\u00e9cheresse pardonn\u00e9e. \u00ab L\u2019\u00e9chec est si d\u00e9structurant pour l\u2019homme que Dieu lui-m\u00eame a d\u00fb l\u2019assumer : pour triompher de la mort il n\u2019a fallu rien de moins que la mort de Dieu \u00bb, dit un philosophe.
J\u00e9sus a triomph\u00e9 de ce grand \u00e9chec qu\u2019est la mort en ressuscitant. Et nous ? Devant l\u2019\u00e9chec nous sommes souvent tent\u00e9s par le d\u00e9couragement ou l\u2019\u00e9vasion dans la dissipation. La meilleure attitude est celle d\u2019avoir le courage d\u2019assumer l\u2019\u00e9chec, de le nommer par son nom et de prendre conscience de notre besoin d\u2018un Autre et des autres. C\u2019est cette humilit\u00e9 qui g\u00e9n\u00e8re en nous l\u2019Esp\u00e9rance d\u2019un Sauveur qui nous aime jusqu\u2019\u00e0 donner sa vie pour nous ressusciter avec lui, car nul \u00e9chec n\u2019est irr\u00e9m\u00e9diable tant qu\u2019on est aim\u00e9 et qu\u2019on aime.
